World Changers 2010

July 12-17, Chattanooga, TN. $70

World Changers is designed for our students to give themselves away by working on a residents construction needs and sharing the gospel with them and their community. It is life-changing  for students to experience that!!!

This year Summit Youth is heading up to Chattanooga, TN in mid-July for this tremendous week-long experience. The cost for this opportunity is only $70 this year.

Participant’s will also go rafting on the Ocoee River as part of our trip back to DBC on Saturday, July 17th.

To sign up for World Changers turn in your participant form, payment and/or youth fund account form found on the World Changers brochure to Amy Wade before the first World Changers Planning Meeting on Sunday, April 18th. We only have a total of 30 spaces for youth so sign up quickly. See you then!

  • Deadline for participant form and payment is Sunday April 18 (Though it is likely that our spaces will fill up quickly, so get these things in a.s.a.p.)
  • First Planning Meeting: Sunday, April 18 2pm-3:30pm (All forms and payments due)
  • Second Planning Meeting: Sunday May 2 2pm-3:30pm
  • Third Planning Meeting (if necessary): Sunday May 16 2pm-3:30pm

standard for students involved in world changers

  • Consistent involvement in Summit Youth Ministry
  • A servants attitude demonstrated by serving in at least 2 other missions opportunities (Valentines Banquet, VBS, Side-by Side)
  • Taking steps to grow in their relationship with Christ (quiet times, prayer)

positions for adults

  • Crew Chief: An adult placed in charge of a group of 8-12 students with 1-2 other adults and charged with leading the crew to complete the work site project.
  • Crew Encourager: An adult placed on a crew and charged with encouraging the students and adults on that crew via encouragrams and morale boosting.
